About the role
Support the Boat Captain in safe dive vessel operations and guest service for Galaxea at The Red Sea destination. This is a site based marine operations role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare boats, inspect safety equipment and maintain clean, organized vessels.
- Assist navigation, docking, mooring and anchoring under the captain’s direction.
- Help guests board safely and support diver drop offs and pick ups, equipment loading and cylinder handling.
- Maintain vessel logs and checklists, report hazards and incidents, and assist basic boat and outboard engine troubleshooting.
- Support pre opening readiness, safety drills and environmentally responsible marine practices.
Requirements
- Relevant boating or marine experience; deckhand work and dive tourism experience are preferred.
- Basic understanding of vessel operations, navigation and marine safety; diving operations experience is an advantage.
- Basic spoken English, teamwork, reliability and a strong service and safety mindset. Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to work outdoors in physically demanding marine conditions and remain calm under pressure.
- Maritime training, mechanical knowledge and marine conservation interest are desirable.
Working conditions
Daily activities on the water, changing weather and flexibility for extended hours, weekends and peak seasons. Salary and a specific employment contract type are not stated.
